Missions and Outreach

First Christian Church actively supports many people, projects, and programs throughout our community, country, and world wide.  Support comes in many forms from members of all ages.

Local Missions

Building Blocks provides weekend food to families at Bon Air Elementary School throughout the school year.  Every week about 60 families receive back packs of food, and each winter hats and mittens are included for every child in those families.

Christian Women's Fellowship (CWF) selects a different project to support each month.  Various items are collected and dispersed to organizations in the surrounding area.

National Missions

Mission Team Trips are a part of serving at FCC.  In the past years teams have traveled to Kansas, Loiusiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, and Colorado.

International Missions

One 17 International is a locally born project that FCC and others in the community support.  Originally known as Project 117, the project supports education for all in Haiti and operates two growing schools there, plus one in Cambodia.  In addition to financial support through our Christmas offering and other contributions, FCC members have and will continue to travel with teams to Haiti to assist.  The progress may be tracked on the One 17 International.

Groups and Individuals from FCC have also traveled to Kenya and Guatemala in recent years to work alongside and learn from our brothers and sisters in other areas of the world.
